Premijera Super Mario Bros. Filma održana je u Kaliforniji. Uz glavne glumce Chrisa Pratta, Anyju Taylor-Joy i Jacka Blacka, dugogočekivanu animiranu adaptaciju popularne kompjutorske igre predstavili su i redatelji Michael Jelenic i Aaron Horvath.
Čekanje je završeno. Tri desetljeća nakon neuspjele igrane adaptacije, u kina dolazi animirana verzija računalne igre o avanturama newyorškog vodoinstalatera.Super Mario Bros. Film nestrpljivo su očekivali brojni obožavatelji, a svjetska premijera održana je ovoga vikenda u Los Angelesu.
Na premijeru su došli glavni glumci Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black i Charlie Day, ali i redatelji Michael Jelenic i Aaron Horvath. Odličnu atmosferu dodatno su potaknuli brojni obožavatelji, koji su se okupili kako bi među prvima na svijetu pogledali film.
Tvorac Super Marija
Posebnu pažnju obožavatelja privukao je Shigeru Miyamoto, tvorac računalne igre Super Mario Bros. te jedan od direktora u Nintendu. Upravo je on, zajedno s predsjednikom Uprave animacijskog studija Illumination Chrisom Melendandrijem, predstavio film.

Prvi pogled na film je došao početkom listopada 2022. u obliku teaser trailera na sveopće oduševljenje obožavatelja, da bi kroz iduće mjesece Illumination i Nintendo izbacivali dodatne materijale i dva trailera za film koji su samo još više povećavali iščekivanje filma. Kad se radi na ovakvom projektu uz čije su korijene odrastale generacije, zna biti teško zadovoljiti stariju i novu publiku dobro poznatog lika Super Maria, ali suradnja Illuminationa i Nintenda je to ostvarila.
