Roman Simpatizer azijsko-američkog pisca Vieta Thanha Nguyena donosi priču o Vijetnamskom ratu kakvu do sada doista nismo imali prilike doživjeti. Za ovo svoje djelo Nguyen je nagrađen Pulitzerovom nagradom. Roman je kao TV seriju ekranizirao južnokorejski redatelj Park Chan-wook a oskarovac Robert Downey Jr. u njoj je maestralno odigrao čak četiri uloge.
