Rekordni odaziv nominiranih na tradicionalni ručak koji uoči dodjele Oscara organizira Akademija pretvorio se u sjajno druženje. Svi su se htjeli fotografirati i pozdraviti s Tomom Cruiseom, ali i čuti što imaju za reći Cate Blanchett, Austin Butler, Michelle Yeoh…
Iako nije nominiran za najboljeg glumca, što su mnogi očekivali da će se dogoditi, Tom Cruise nije nimalo ozlojeđen. Pokazao je to na tradicionalnom ručku koje Akademija filmskih znanosti i umjetnosti priređuje za sve nominirane. Nije tamo došao kao padobranac, svoju nominaciju ima kao producent filma Top Gun: Maverick, ali nijednom gestom nije pokazao da ikome zamjera.
Naprotiv, Cruise je na ručku bio ono što doista jest – najveća hollywoodska glumačka zvijezda. U sobi punoj slavnih filmaša upravo je oko njega bila najveća gužva. Svi su se htjeli fotografirati ili barem pozdraviti sa zvijezdom filmova Top Gun i Nemoguća misija.
Rekordni odaziv
I inače je u hotelu Beverly Hilton vladala odlična atmosfera. Uoči 95. dodjele nagrade Oscar, koja će biti održana 13. ožujka po hrvatskom vremenu, na svečani ručak došlo je čak 182 nominiranih. Time je srušen rekord u dosadašnjem odazivu.
Naravno, nisu svi mogli doći. Ispričnice su, između ostalih, poslale glumice Ana de Armas (Blonde) i Andrea Riseborough(To Leslie), epizodni glumac Barry Keoghan (Duhovi otoka) i producent James Cameron (Avatar: Put vode). Zapravo je najviše izostanaka bilo u kategoriji za najbolju pjesmu. Među nominirane kolege nisu došli Rihanna (Black Panther: Wakanda zauvijek), Lady Gaga (Top Gun: Maverick) i David Byrne (Sve u isto vrijeme).

No, zato su se u Beverly Hiltonu lagano “druškali” Cate Blanchett (Tár), Michelle Yeoh (Sve u isto vrijeme), Austin Butler (Elvis), Brendan Fraser (Kit), Guillermo del Toro (Pinokio Guillerma del Tora)…
Cinici tvrde da je atmosfera ove godine posebno bila dobra jer je napuštena tradicija da se za svakim stolom, gdje sjedi 6-8 ljudi, ostavi jedno mjesto za novinara. Je li to istina, teško je reći, no da su se odabrani filmaši dobro zabavili – to nitko ne može zanijekati.
